Our Formation

Tehgaa main aim is providing mentorship programmes to students, educating needy students, creating awareness on issues facing the community such as drug abuse, caring for the elderly and general welfare of members and the community at large.

The group was officially registered with the department of social services as a community-based organization in 2017

The group noted some students completed primary level, but their parents were unable to pay for their secondary education. Techgaa identified one student within Kedowa area who was unable to join form one in January 2017 has since been paying for his school fees since May 2017. The student is currently in form three at Kimasian Secondary school. The group also performed various activities such as motivational talks in various schools, tree planting, and financial assistance to the sick/elderly.

It is important to nurture a saving culture amongst the youths. Each member is required to contribute at least Kshs 500 per month and Kshs 300 of this amount goes to savings account and the rest is used for welfare activities.

Overview of our Welfare Spending

The group has managed to achieve major milestones in the last three years with small contribution of Kshs 200 per month towards welfare of the community. The group intends to do more community-based activities with increased contribution from members and generous donation from well-wishers.
